The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy returns this year by popular demand to offer free screenings for diabetes, cholesterol and hypertension. They will also do medication reviews and breathing assessments. These pharmaceutical students gain important real-world experience and are dedicated to accurate testing under the supervision of their professor.

The following immunizations and vaccines will be offered:

Flu – standard, high dose or quadrivalent

Pneumonia and pneumonia Prevnar 13® booster

Shingles vaccine

You will need an appointment for the shingles vaccine and the Tdap booster. Call Walgreens at 520-825-7747; ask for Stephanie or Rob. Check with your physician to learn if a vaccine is appropriate for you.

In addition to flu and pneumonia shots, HealthWaves offers lab and allergy tests for a reasonable price. A complete list will be emailed to residents and is posted at www.sbseniors.org.
