You are invited to share a celebration of the holiday season, focusing on some of the images that make Christmas dear to so many—from Santa Claus to the Christmas tree, the bells, the star, and of course, the Child. Featuring a wide range and varied style of literature from Winter Wonderland to This Child, This King, the program features the musical talents of the Catalinas Community Chorus and several guest artists. Vocal Seniority, northwest Tucson’s premier men’s ensemble, will offer Mary Did You Know, The Secret of Christmas and White Christmas. Also featured will be Las Campañas Handbell Choir and Tanya Elias, soloist extraordinaire, singing O Holy Night. The hour and a half presentation will be a mixed media event that promises to begin your holiday season on a fun and heartwarming musical note. Hope you and your families and friends will join us on November 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 11575 N. 1st Avenue in Oro Valley, for this grand holiday kick-off.

Catalinas Community Chorus is now in its ninth season. The singers are members of our greater community. The mission is to bring the beauty and inspiration of outstanding choral music to the community. Under the dynamic leadership of artistic director Bill Bellah, this group’s reputation has grown to being Northwest Tucson’s Pops Chorus, singing a variety of musical styles, including Broadway, spiritual, gospel, folk, jazz, pop, country, western and light classical. New members are always welcome! If you like to sing, enjoy music, appreciate musical fellowship and fun, please contact director Bill Bellah at 520-742-3226 or [email protected].

We hope you will catch the spirit of this holiday season by enjoying an afternoon of Christmas music on Sunday, November 23. Concert ticket prices are only $10, and children age 18 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available by calling 520-303-6474, from chorus members or at the door on concert day.
