CCP preparing for 2019 season

Andrea Molberg

During the hot summer months Community Circle Players are still busy. Those of you who enjoyed this year’s performances of The Mafioso Murders and last year’s Eat, Drink, and Be Deadly! are probably wondering, “What’s next?”

Some decisions for the upcoming 2018-2019 season have been made. Shawne Cryderman and Susan Sterling, co-founders of the live theatre group built on the foundation of PrimeTime Players that served SaddleBrooke for a decade, will switch roles for the next show. Shawne will direct with Susan and Carol Merlini co-producing and Judi Brauns serving as assistant director. CCP will repeat the successful dinner theatre format, since CCP sold out all its 2018 shows of The Mafioso Murders held at SaddleBrooke One’s Vistas and SaddleBrooke TWO’s MV Ballroom.

Evening performances for the upcoming 2019 show are scheduled for: Sunday, March 17–Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at SaddleBrooke One Vistas and Friday, March 22–Sunday, March 24, 2019 at SaddleBrooke TWO MVCC Ballroom.

Currently Shawne, Susan, and CCP Treasurer and long-time community theatre actor Tim Morsani have been pouring over scripts. They seek a show, not necessarily a mystery, appropriate for actors old enough to live in an active adult community and one that will delight SaddleBrooke crowds.

Residents are already thinking about becoming a part of next spring’s production. CCP has some seasoned performers who have worked together for 10+ years and also eagerly welcomes newcomers. Mark your calendars and tell your friends that auditions will be held January 7 and 8. Rehearsals are scheduled Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. starting January 10.
