Crater Lake National Park – Oregon Cycling Adventure

Carol Osgood

Everyone in the world should visit the Magnificent National Treasure and Park. Crater Lake is the deepest caldera in the United States, second deepest in North America and seventh in the world. The deep dark blue body of water is six miles across. Crater Lake Lodge sits at the edge of the lake with grand views, a magnificent lodge, and dining facility.

Carol Osgood Apfelbaum, Steve Apfelbaum, John and Linda Monfore, Cacey and Jeff Witwer, SaddleBrooke Ranch and SaddleBrooke Cyclemasters members, viewed this magnificent lake after climbing a 2.5 hour non-stop 23 mile climb straight up this mountain to the lodge and lake!

Carol and Steve met both these couples at a Cyclemasters ride and breakfast in SaddleBrooke ten years ago and have become best of friends enjoying their common cycling interests and make annual cycling trips to Crater Lake and many other destinations in the Western United States.
