Learn about the Tucson Book Festival with the Women’s Club

Donna P. Nelson

Come join us at the next Women’s Club Special Brunch on Monday, January 14 at 11:15 a.m. in the Sol Ballroom.

Our speaker is Heather Grieshaber, Volunteer Coordinator Chair. The Festival, held this year on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 is a community-wide celebration of literature. Free of charge, the Festival exists to improve literacy rates among children and adults.

The event has over 350 authors participating in presentations, workshops and book signings. Books for children, teens, panels by best-selling and emerging authors, pottery, exhibitor booths; there is something for everyone.

This festival relies on volunteers to run the event in directing and welcoming guests. You will also learn about opportunities to volunteer a shift or two (or the whole weekend).

Please note: Because this is a catered lunch, you must have a confirmed reservation to attend. Please contact Evie Thompson at [email protected] to get your invitation (if not a member). Also remember to contact Evie if you replied to your reservation (or special meal) or if you need to cancel for illness/emergencies.

We encourage using checks to streamline our bookkeeping.
