Lincoln Luncheon for Ladies of Falcon Valley

Celebrating Lincoln’s Birthday and Patriotism with lovely decorated red, white and blue decorations and flags, the Ladies of Falcon Valley had a Lincoln Luncheon at SaddleBrooke Ranch on Wednesday, February 8.

Speakers for the event were Irene Littleton, Past Chairman of the Pinal County Republican Committee, and Michael Burke, newly elected Chairman of the Pinal County Republican Committee. We welcomed them to our part of the county, and they enjoyed their visit with us. Both shared their careers before retirement and why they got involved in Pinal County. Mrs. Littleton and Mr. Burke had previously been from East Coast cities and settled in the warm and welcoming state of Arizona and Pinal County. But as most seniors are today, they sought to get involved in challenging activities and enjoy meeting people. Carol Sorensen, who comes from the “Land of Lincoln,” and Mr. Burke shared some interesting events about President Lincoln’s life.

All of us, ladies and gentlemen, shared in the lively discussion and look forward to meeting again.

If you wish to share in good conversation about national, state and local issues, please look for our next meeting day and time in the SBR calendar. For more information contact Carol Sorensen at [email protected] or Mary-Ann Mehlhorn at [email protected].
