Line Dance lessons with Rebecca

Rebecca’s Level 1 class has learned six new dances in the first three weeks, all that in the rain and heat. There’s no slowing down here in the summer. A couple in the back row are obviously in witness protection.

This photo reveals that 33% of attendees at the most recent line dance party reside in SaddleBrooke Ranch. They are having fun and prove we are indeed sister communities! The point also is that line dance is a great social activity as well as exercise. With the construction of the new clubhouse in progress, there will be classes and parties in the new ballroom. Lots of fun is yet to come. Part of that will be line dance parties and general community parties at which you will be able to have a great time on our home dance floor. So now is a great time to start learning the skills to be ready to socialize and maximize your fun at the plethora of upcoming social opportunities in front of you.

Classes give ample time for the exercise and modest cost. There are three distinct skill levels to choose from, so you can be comfortable dancing. Come have fun, learn and laugh with Rebecca in summer 2015.

Level 1 Beginners class is for those new to line dancing and for those whose age or speed is receding. For newcomers/modest pace dancers Level 1 is the best on Wednesdays. Currently you can also dance Level 1 Monday morning in SaddleBrooke.

Level 2 Easy Intermediate classes provide faster learning. Those with previous training may be able to enter here. Level 2 Wednesdays at SB Ranch follow Level 1. Classes Monday afternoons or Tuesday mornings are also open to Ranchers who can’t take class on Wednesday.

Level 3 Intermediate is most challenging with more complexity and a vigorous workout. Classes are Thursday and only available in SaddleBrooke at this time.

Saturday afternoon dance party sessions occur year round for Levels 2 and 3 in order to perfect skills, increase stamina and mainly for a lot of fun and laughter. Level 1 dance parties are on Thursday about noon.

Signup time is now for the fall series, which begins late September. If you’re just moving here and plan to dance with Rebecca fall or winter, get reserved for a class fall ’15 and/or winter ’16 as space is limited due to room size. Level 1 fills fast and the level 2 Ranch group is already very close to capacity. Provisions are always made for starting late due to travels so you can catch up after the first sessions.

Classes are taught on a reservation only basis. For information on line dancing lessons, contact Rebecca Magdanz at [email protected] or phone 818-2656. Rebecca has been training and leading senior line dancers since 2008.
