Line dance lessons with Rebecca – February 2015

Line dancers came out to have fun on the floor while supporting the animals on December 29 in SaddleBrooke. Can you find the 19 Ranch residents in the group? What a terrific bunch of folks from both communities that attended the dance and gave to help our furry friends. undefined

The annual “Tweener” Party, a celebration between Christmas and New Year’s, saw record participation to end 2014. Rebecca’s line dancing students literally filled the Vermilion Room dance floor beyond capacity. Leftover proceeds are being donated to a Tucson area trap/spay-neuter/release program coordinated by Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Rebecca sends her many thanks to all participants and donors for having fun and helping to do good deeds.

Four fundraising events were held to close out 2014. Three student practice parties raised $280 proceeds for the SaddleBrooke Pet Rescue organization. The Tweener Party, which brings together residents of both communities, raised over $180 for the Tucson trap/spay/neuter project. So $450 total charity dollars were raised this holiday season. Great job, dancers!

Dancing at SB Ranch restarted the 21st of January for the winter series of lessons. Rebecca has always worked hard and again been able to accommodate everyone, but space is very tight. Don’t delay contacting her for the next series. Level 1 beginner classes are for students new to line dance and those who like easier steps, a relaxed teaching pace and a less strenuous workout. Level 2 advanced beginner/easy intermediate dances are more complex. The teaching pace is quicker. If you have some basic skills and fitness, you may still find a space available for the winter season.

Line Dancing with Rebecca follows sound educational principles and emphasizes lots of fun.
