Line dancing lessons with Rebecca

A Line Dance Party held between Christmas and New Year raised the roof with fun and a little leftover cash to donate to Animal Rescue. Fun was had and maybe some surplus fudge calories were burned. Several Ranch residents joined in the fun-play Where’s Waldo and see which of your neighbors appears. Continued Happy 2016 to Ranch residents!

With the holiday festivities done, it’s still about as cold as it’s gonna get. What to do this winter? SB Ranchers have classes in the Hacienda Wednesday afternoons. Never danced with Rebecca? It’s all about fun, learning and laughter in her classes. Line dance may be your undiscovered pleasure/pursuit like many others. She has three line dancing levels and will have classes starting the middle of January. Never danced with Rebecca? It’s all about fun, learning and laughter in her classes.

The annual “Tweener Party” on December 28 included over 30 dancers and raised surplus funds and donations of $180 for Best Friends Animal Rescue. Our furry companions are always on Rebecca’s mind. Best Friends is a Utah based organization with worldwide activities including rescue programs in Afghanistan. They also coordinated the hurricane Katrina efforts as well as the Michael Vick fighting dog rescues. They handle house pets, horses and even injured raptors.

Winter Level 1 currently has some space! You must email now if you wish to dance. Rebecca works hard at accommodating everyone but don’t delay. Why so popular? It’s both fun and exercise, one of the top forms of low impact activity for seniors. Rebecca is a master in teaching the skills. Level 1 Beginner classes are Wednesday afternoons for students new to line dance and those who like easier steps, a relaxed teaching pace and a less strenuous workout.

Level 2 Advanced Beginner/Easy Intermediate dances are more complex. The teaching pace is faster. Sessions are also Wednesday right after level 1. If you have some basic skills and fitness, you may find space available for the winter season.

Wednesdays are bad for you? SaddleBrooke classes are open to you, except this winter Level 1 appears to be at maximum capacity barring cancelations.

Level 3 Intermediate dancing is the most challenging and only available in SaddleBrooke at this time. Thursdays bring a lot of fun, vigorous workouts and a mentally challenging dance floor experience. Five or six of your neighbors now dance on this level; congratulations to them all. It is an accomplishment.

Student Happy Feet sessions covering all skill levels are continuous year round and function to seal skills and dances into muscle memory and give an aerobic boost faster than regular classes. Current schedules are emailed directly to present and past participants only.

Line dance benefits include: 1) Lowered BP and cholesterol level; 2) Increased mobility 3) Improves balance 4) Increases bone mass and muscle; 5) Aid weight loss; 6) Ease depression; 7) Impedes Alzheimer’s. And much more!

Line Dancing with Rebecca is educational and emphasizes fun.
