The SaddleBrooke Health Fair celebrates its 20th anniversary on Saturday, October 14, 9:00 a.m. to noon at the SaddleBrooke One clubhouse. Parking is at MountainView with luxury coaches shuttling between MountainView and SaddleBrooke One. Shuttles run until 1:30 p.m. to allow time for lunch at the Road Runner. Parking for golf carts and cars with handicap stickers is at SaddleBrooke One.

Health Fair Welcomes New Exhibitors

One new exhibitor, Rejuv Medical Southwest, specializes in regenerative medicine. They do orthopedic stem cell treatments, prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP) in their practice.

The Pain Institute of Southern Arizona (PISA) will discuss chronic pain management including treatments such as radial frequency ablation and more.

This year for the first time the Catalina Community Coalition will give away free sharps containers and medication safes while supplies last.

Fairgoers can meet Fran the Gopher and learn about her transportation service. Nutrition will be the focus of both Teeter Consulting and Heart4Life. Western Neurosurgery will discuss neurology and neurosurgery. The University of Arizona’s Cancer Center will provide information on oncology.

Traditional favorites will be also on hand.

College of Pharmacy

Back by popular demand, the University of Arizona’s College of Pharmacy will do free screenings for blood sugar, A1C, cholesterol, hypertension and conduct medication reviews.

There is an unusually large selection of screeners doing free tests this year.

Healthy Skin Dermatology, underwriter of the Health Fair, will do free skin cancer screenings.

Premier Hearing Center offers free hearing tests and will clean and check hearing aids.

Banner-University of Arizona Ophthalmology will screen for cataracts, glaucoma and other eye disease.

Sonoran ENT will do free ear wax removal.

Dentists offer oral cancer screening.

Dr. Fishkind will screen for cataracts.

Golder Ranch Fire will do blood pressure screening.

TMC for Seniors will conduct Dexa Scan assessments for osteoporosis.

Ted Robu offers mini-massages.

The Lion’s Club will do a high-tech vision test.

Bluemoon Acupuncture conducts medical pulse analysis.

Vital Moves gives balance tests.

W&W Physical Therapy conducts Fall Risk Assessments.

Shuttles will stop near the Tennis Pavilion on their regular rounds.

You will also find senior placement, hospice and in-home services at the fair. There will be financial, legal and insurance information available.
