New ministry at SaddleBrooke Community Church is E.P.I.C.

Community Church at SaddleBrooke (CCSB) has launched a new ministry that will be active within the communities of SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch. The goal of the ministry is to reach out to the residents of SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch to make them aware of the CCSB and to introduce them to all the church has to offer. Of course, the ultimate goal is to make everyone aware that no matter what their current or past situations, Jesus Christ has offered forgiveness and salvation through belief in Him.

Kerry Blount of the Community Church officially kicked off the new endeavor on September 20. The new ministry has been dubbed E.P.I.C., an acronym for Empowering People in Christ.

The ministry hopes to sponsor several social events per year within the confines of the two communities and already has two events scheduled for the upcoming months with more to follow.

All church attendees are invited to participate in this new ministry; it doesn’t matter if a person is brand-spanking new or is a seasoned veteran, EPIC welcomes ideas, input and participation from everyone! One of the things that makes EPIC unique is that volunteers do not have to commit to regular meetings and schedules. As events come up, volunteers on the list will be asked if they would like to participate. They can then choose to help out or to pass; the choice is up to them, and there will always be more opportunities.

According to Blount, “This ministry is all about having fun both by the volunteers and the community. It is about giving to the community without any expectations in return, and it is a classic win/win situation where the community benefits and the EPIC volunteers benefit as well.”
