One of the things I love most about living here at SaddleBrooke Ranch is that I can play tennis year round. Our tennis club has shifted the start times to 10:00 a.m. for the winter so we don’t freeze our fingers off, but sometimes it can be cold even at that time. The photo shows four of us right before our match on January 26. All of us started out with at least three layers. Then we got going and the gloves came off. The fast game and the sun continued to warm us enough to shed our outer jackets. By the time we were ready to leave we were all down to one layer and very happy we didn’t miss the opportunity to come out and play.

If you are new to tennis or haven’t played in a long time, consider attending a Monday morning development clinic. These are run by club members, and all levels are welcome. You can find more information on the SBR Tennis Association at: http://www.saddlebrookeranch.org/tennis.
