Has the news got you down? Do you need more drama in your life? The recently organized Ranch Players offers an alternate and cheerful definition to the term. Josephine Zara, Ranch Players director, brings her considerable experience with the Readers’ Theater dramatic form to our community. The first production is Sherlock Holmes and Murder in the Casbah. Auditions were held October 7 and many brave residents stepped up.

There will be two performances, November 15 and 18, in the La Mesa Room at the Hacienda Club beginning at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge but donations will be gratefully accepted. Please plan to come and support your neighbors who have volunteered to entertain us.

A form of story-telling, Readers’ Theater is a dramatic presentation. A literary work is transposed from prose to dialogue in script format. The actors read their parts rather than memorizing lines. For many people this dramatic form is an invitation to take a first step into the world of theater. Please consider joining in as an actor or as support staff for future productions.
