If you are looking for a fun way to meet other ladies at SBR, try your hand at putting or improve your current short game, Ranchette Putters is the club for you. No sponsor or invitation is needed to join.
Every Wednesday morning, members assemble on SBR’s 18-hole green. After being assigned to random teams, players putt from starting pins at each hole. The sounds of laughter, congratulations and encouragement fill the air.
No prior golf experience is required. The only things needed are a putter, a golf ball and the desire to have fun while making new friends. Putting can be a great introduction to the game of golf. Watching experienced putters line up a shot and read the green can help novices learn or improve their game.
Effective May 1, the starting time is 8:00 a.m. on the green. Please arrive at 7:45 a.m. to claim a spot. The cost is $1 for non-members.
Each session is followed by socializing in La Mesa Room or by a monthly meeting. Weekly prizes for sinking four or more putts or acing the money hole provide extra incentives. The club also recognizes the third, second and lowest averages each month, as well as members who had six or more holes-in-one.
