SaddleBrooke Ranch residents ring in the New Year

La Hacienda Clubhouse was transformed into a dining and dancing showcase for over 100 residents of SaddleBrooke Ranch on New Year’s Eve. As the doors opened partiers wearing their festive evening attire worthy of the grand celebration soon to begin were greeted by the HOA staff who had transformed the clubhouse. A dance floor filled the entry, and tables everywhere were dressed with white linen cloths decorated with hats and noisemakers. After finding their place at the various tables, appetizers were served and drinks were ordered while greeting each other with well wishes.

The music was gearing up with sounds from Harry Mathews. Not sitting back in the corner playing, he merged out into the crowds with his saxophone and background music, engaging the group to take over the dance floor even before dinner was served. He is widely known for his jazz standards and popular songs, his unique blend of music, interaction with the crowd and his comedy. He didn’t disappoint as the crowd loved Harry’s performance all night long.

Mary and staff prepared a wonderful buffet-style meal of marinated grilled tri-tip, seared turkey medallions and shrimp ceviche accompanied with garlic mashed potatoes, quinoa pasta curls, red pear salad and a variety of vegetables. The dinner was very good with generous portions and unique flavors that satisfied this crowd. For those that requested a special meal, Mary prepared dishes to meet their needs. A wide range of desserts were served to meet the sweet tooth in us all.

After dinner Harry Mathews kicked up the sound bringing out the many dancers, while others went to the photo booth supplied by Busy Bee Photobooth to record the fun of the night. Funny hats, beards and much more were available to lighten up pictures to remember this evening and to prepare the crowd for the New Year.

At 10:00 p.m. we toasted a New York New Years with champagne along with the many hugs and kisses. It was an outstanding evening enjoyed by all.

Special thanks go to Andrea Marchus, Mary Le Compte, Danielle Herbert, Clarissa, Jackie, Allyssa, Victoria and Brittney as well as all the staff behind the scenes.
