SaddleBrooke Ranch Woodworkers Club to hold raffle for artisan serving tray

An artisan serving tray.

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Woodworkers Club (SBRWWC) is proud to announce a raffle for an artisan serving tray. The tray was made by one of our members, Tom Moore. The tray is made out of Bubinga and Quilted Maple with splined mitered corners and brass pins with a sprayed lacquered finish. Bubinga is an exotic wood species with rich reddish tones mixed with darker annual rings. Quilted Maple is a domestic wood with a wavy quilted pattern like ripples in water. Tom Moore started woodworking when he was in high school but has been very active these last ten years making furniture in his shop in Minnesota before moving to the ranch nine months ago. Tom’s favorite wood species is Cherry (as is many of us in the SBRWWC). Tom also likes photography and golf.

Tickets for the raffle will be $1 each or six for $5. Tickets can be purchased at the woodworking shop in the Arts and Crafts building or at the Club Expo in February. The winning ticket will be announced February 15. Good luck to all those that enter the raffle.
