Bicycles refurbished by Wheels For Kids

Melanie Stout

SaddleBrooke Community Outreach (SBCO) has again partnered with Wheels For Kids, a nonprofit organization operating out of Oro Valley, to provide refurbished bikes to needy children in our service area. Wheels For Kids operates exclusively with volunteers who love to fix up bikes and make people happy. Please check out their website http://www.azwfk.org/. After reading their amazing story you may even want to get involved and start getting your hands greasy fixing up bicycles, or you may decide to donate a bike you no longer use. SBCO has given Wheels For Kids bikes to needy students in San Manuel, Oracle and on the San Carlos Indian Reservation. These students were selected by the school based on criteria that might include good grades and attendance. We are looking forward to putting more smiles on kids’ faces by continuing our partnership with Wheels For Kids. If you have a question or wish to donate a bike, please contact either SBCO or Wheels For Kids.
