A little boy came to the Kids’ Closet, operated by SaddleBrooke Community Outreach, for his first visit. He chose the clothes, but his favorite item was a bright new pair of sneakers! He liked them so much he wanted to wear them to bed!

Wouldn’t you like to help SBCO supply happiness to needy children in nearby communities?

Then join us at the annual Walkathon, October 24, starting at HOA One parking lot. At 7:30 a.m. there will be warmups led by Vital Moves; the walk will start about 8:00 a.m. with a loop around Ridgeview Avenue. There will be a shorter route available. Once back at HOA One you may enjoy a hot breakfast and raffle ticket awards.

Registration will begin in September at $30 per person. That includes the T-shirt, which is your ticket for the breakfast! Pets on leashes are welcome; there will be water stations and golf cart support for those who can’t complete the walk. Don’t wish to walk? Register, put on your T-shirt and come for breakfast and fellowship.

You are also invited to support this event by having your name put on the back of the T-shirt. A one line entry is $75, and for $150 you will have your name in larger print. It costs SBCO $75 per child for a seasonal wardrobe.

The proceeds from this event help to cover expenses for Kids’ Closet, for education programs and for nutritional support of the Tri Community Food Bank. More information  is available on our website:  www.community-outreach.org.
