Tennis skill development clinics are held every Monday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the SaddleBrooke Ranch grandstand tennis court. The clinic is open to all skill levels looking to improve their game. Dean Alfrey, a SaddleBrooke Ranch resident, leads the clinic. SaddleBrooke Ranch Tennis Association members are encouraged to sign up on the SBRTA website. Non-members and walk-ons are also welcome.

Looking for another way to improve your game? Plan to attend one of the new “Chalk Talk” sessions led by Elmer Klavetter, a SaddleBrooke Ranch resident. We have had two interesting sessions with great attendance and positive feedback. The next date and time will be posted on the new tennis display case located outside the east entrance to the La Hacienda fitness area. Members will also be notified by email.

A rating session is scheduled for April 3 with a rain date of April 7. TJ Duffy, our PTR certified tennis pro, will conduct the session again this year. All SBRTA members who have not yet been rated are encouraged to sign up for this session by contacting Phil Preston at [email protected]. The cost of the initial rating for each SBRTA member will be paid by the SBRTA. Anyone wishing to appeal a previous rating or simply to be re-rated should sign up also. The SBRTA will also cover the cost of the session for these members.

As you have probably noticed there are two additional tennis courts under construction adjacent to the existing tennis courts. A special event to celebrate the opening of the new courts is in the planning stage. Stay tuned for future information.

Weekly organized SBRTA play is scheduled for men, women and mixed doubles. For more information about joining SBRTA or instructions on how to sign-up online for group play go to: saddlebrookeranch.org/tennis.

Let’s fill up those courts!

Tennis for fun, tennis for fitness, tennis for friendship!
