Thank you, residents

Carol Smith

Gathering Hearts would like to thank all those who donated hygiene products for Youth On Their Own.

Once again, we had a nice donation of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, hair products and miscellaneous items to take to Youth On Their Own.

Youth On Their Own people are barely old enough to drive a car, are juggling unfair obstacles that life has thrown their way: homelessness, abandonment, neglect and devastating poverty. Feeling hopeless and burdened, many are fearful that they only have one option: to drop out of high school and get a job.

But your support continues to remind them that their hopes and dreams matter. Your donations help YOTO to say yes. Yes, you can have food to eat, supplies for school, emergency support to help pay rent, assistance putting together a resume, money for cap and gown at graduation and many other things needed to be successful at school.

Gathering Hearts continuously collects hygiene products, laundry soap, $25 gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway or Fry’s, school supplies and food for YOTO. You can drop off donations anytime at Carol Smith’s home, 60539 E. Arroyo Vista Dr. or Bev Hanson’s home, 60028 E. Arroyo Vista Dr.

Thank you once again for your generosity.
