Time is short; classes began the week of June 26, sign-ups for Level 1/Beginner, Level 2/Easy Intermediate and Level 3/Intermediate. Line Dance classes for the summer are here. The nine lessons in Level 1 teach you some basics of line dancing in a fun and safe environment. Rebecca teaches with humor, repetition and joy. You will learn new skills with each new dance. Dances are learned fresh and/or reviewed in each series. The series starts you on your dancing road and continues to build stamina and step familiarity. With new step types to learn you will master just a few at a time, usually just a couple with each dance. Some line dance steps and dances are more challenging, so those arrive for you later after you develop some basic skills. Rancher beginners can dance Wednesday afternoon at the Hacienda aerobics room or Monday noon at SaddleBrooke HOA 2.

Easy Intermediate/Level 2 and Intermediate/Level 3 classes are terrific for the more experienced dancer. A mix of more cardio and complex dances becomes great fun for all. Level 2 works especially on skills and steps up the learning pace. Level 3 sessions are for dancers desiring even more complexity, skill and extra stamina. Easy Intermediate/Level 2 classes are available at the Hacienda Wednesdays PM. You may also attend the Monday PM or Tuesday AM lessons in SB HOA One and 2 if Monday is inconvenient. Intermediate/Level 3 is Thursday PM and only available currently in SaddleBrooke.

Student “happy feet” party paced sessions are Thursday (Beginner/Level 1) and Saturday afternoons (Level 2 and 3) in the MountainView aerobics room HOA 2. A great cardio and muscle memory session is the goal of practices with an hour of quickly moving from dance to dance. Come prepared to laugh, move, learn, maybe perspire and expand your brain and memory.

If you have tried some dancing and stopped for any non-physical reason, try it again. The only way to not have fun in line dance is to quit before the joy of accomplishment arrives. Rebecca has one major abiding purpose in teaching: she just loves to see the joy and happiness on the faces of her students when they succeed while having fun.

Classes are always affordable; the cost is less than $5 per full hour of dance. Classes are always on time and last the full allotted time (90 minutes). Reservations are required and the A/C is on for indoor summer fun.

Rebecca is a full-time, 13-year resident in SaddleBrooke. She has trained SaddleBrooke and now SB Ranch dancers to have loads of fun on the dance floor for about 10 years. For more information on entry to this summer season or to put your name on a future reservation list, contact Rebecca Magdanz at [email protected] or phone 818-2656.
