Rob Wright of The New Christy Minstrels fame is hosting world famous jazz musician, Howard Alden, and musical phenom, Tyler Jackson, for the Great Banjo Summit and Other Things with Strings. In addition to television and film credits, these gentlemen have performed live all over the planet. They can do things with strings you won’t believe. So, whether you are a guitar enthusiast, a banjo fan, or a music lover in general, you won’t want to miss this. Come prepared to be amazed. You are about to witness the best in the world.
This is happening at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, at Vista de la Montaña United Methodist Church, 3001 E. Miravista Lane in Catalina (west side of Oracle Rd., 3.7 miles north of Tangerine). Tickets are $15 and will be available at Vista.
The Great Banjo Summit and Other Things with Strings is all about the magic that can only be created by three musical wizards before a live, enthusiastic audience. You will hear a variety of American standards on various stringed instruments, including several different kinds of banjos, guitars and ukuleles.
