Denis and Cindy Heck opened their home to 42 Colorado Club members to celebrate Cinco De Mayo a bit differently this year…with a Salsa Tasting Contest. The evening was perfect to go out on the patio to sample over 14 different salsas brought by the club members. It was a hard decision to make, but Deb Lawson came out the winner with her Avocado Tomatillo Salsa, a simple recipe that was a big hit with the group. Tied for second was Barb Drury and Kerstin Seifert, both excellent salsas. Once the contest was over we had great fun enjoying the conversation and watching the wonderful Arizona sunset.
