Beginning Wednesday, September 3, at 10:10 a.m. in the Group Fitness Room, please join Bridget for “Golf-Fit.” This fitness class is designed to improve mindfulness, body awareness and mechanics, strength, mobility, flexibility, balance and endurance.
Golf-Fit will utilize disciplines including: Yoga, Pilates, resistance bands, free weights, workout balls plus weight bearing exercises selected with fitness goals specific to the game of golf. Each class will include learning how to stretch in an effective and safe manner in order to improve flexibility, another critical component to our fitness on and off the golf course.
Essential to golf is the ability to focus, visualize and maintain a clear, calm mind. Techniques to enhance mindfulness and being present to enjoy each moment of your game will be demonstrated.
Golf-Fit will continue each Wednesday beginning September 3 from 10:10-11:10 a.m. in the Group Fitness Room and is offered at only $8 per class.
Golf-Fit is for all levels as modifications are encouraged and demonstrated throughout class providing a safe and non-competitive environment.
Bridget Bonner has been working in the fitness industry since 1987 and is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. She is also a registered Yoga teacher. Her training is diverse and includes Bosu Ball, Pilates, Plyometric exercises, cycling, cardio and strength training, nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices and more.
