Some things just keep getting better. Permits have been issued and the Goose has hired a contractor to begin construction on a new building addition. Construction should begin shortly and be completed by the end of the year.

The addition will add approximately 4,000 square feet to the north end of the building. About 1,000 square feet will be added to the sales floor and include new dressing rooms. The other 3,000 square feet will alleviate the overcrowding in the back where volunteers receive, sort, price and ready donations for the sales floor. The Goose truckers are especially excited about two large, permanent canopies over the two receiving areas, which will enable them to unload their cargo out of the sun and the rain.

The receiving area will be temporarily modified during the construction to make things more convenient for donation drop-offs.

The addition increases the total size of the building from 14,000 to about 18,000 square feet. More room for workers and more room for bargains! Things just keep getting better and better at the Golden Goose Thrift Shop!
