On Monday, February 26, 2018, our genealogy group will have the pleasure of hearing from someone who has done what we all aspire to do, written a book on the history of her family. Mary Lou Forier will show and tell us how she researched the history of a branch of her family, going back to Norway. Mary Lou is from Tucson, but has travelled extensively to be able to write this Norwegian/Wisconsin story. You’ll be fascinated to hear how she used newspapers, maps, land records, church records, train brochures, and original Norwegian historic documents to get the details on this family and bring them back to life.
