Celeste Andresen
On November 4, Celeste Andresen presented a great talk on The Lower San Pedro River Project. She is the Outreach Liaison for the Nature Conservancy for San Pedro River Project and Ranch Manager of the 7B Ranch located in the Lower San Pedro River region. Celeste showed maps of the region to orient the group to the Upper and Lower San Pedro River in relation to SaddleBrooke Ranch; what mountain ranges surround the river and how the mountains feed the river as well as the impact each has to this area. She discussed the partnership role and the conservation values the 7B Ranch has made to the river region and with the Nature Conservancy. Celeste also talked about the 7B Interpretive Trail and how residents can get to this trail running along the river.
Celeste suggested we watch for more information this spring about the San Pedro RiverFest held in early May at Winkelman Flats Public Park, sponsored by the Copper Corridor and the Lower San Pedro River Project. The Audubon society offers Birding Field Trips and family bird walks along the river.
Next spring Celeste offered to lead a bird walk at the 7B to view the many migrating birds for our residents. More details to come later.
