Unit 4B scores a holiday trifecta

Camille Esterman

Residents of 4B arrived at our caroling party carrying trays of appetizers and desserts. Beverages including hot cider and eggnog with real whipped cream were offered by our hosts, Janet and Lynn Baker. Additional spirits were available on a BYOB basis. A festive atmosphere greeted the roving carolers! After joining them in several songs, the carolers were invited to join us in some holiday food and cheer. Thank you, Janet and Lynn, for hosting this neighborhood event. And thank you to Alistair Stone and all the carolers who put us in the mood for stage two.

A large screen, set up in the driveway of Amanda and John Kaminski, projected images of a roaring fire during the caroling party. Afterwards they hosted an outdoor movie event. Golf cars lined up in front of their home to watch White Christmas! As temperatures dropped, folks snuggled up under blankets and enjoyed the movie, complete with popcorn. Thank you, Amanda and John, for adding to our holiday celebration.

The following evening, 33 golf cars gathered on Egret Trail for the sixth annual Holiday Tour of Lights. Dressed in warm clothes, we traveled 7.3 miles on the streets in SaddleBrooke Ranch, a route predesigned by our hosts Les and Leslie Brown. Our parade “oohed” and “aahed” at the colorful displays visible in our community. We all agreed the best way to view the decorations is by golf car in the evening. Thank you, Les and Leslie, for organizing our holiday tour of SBR.
