Good health and continued wellness are important for us as we age, and living in SaddleBrooke Ranch, an Active Adult Resort Community with many activities and sports, enhances our lives and adds to our overall wellness. Physical is one dimension for overall wellness, but emotional, environmental, intellectual/cognitive, vocational, social and spiritual are also key dimensions defined by the International Council on Active Aging.

“Wellness Roundup” is a new program developed for SaddleBrooke Ranch. The purpose of this program is to bring neighbors information through healthcare professionals to enhance our knowledge for continued wellness, to provide information for us to become our best selves regardless of personal challenges. The Wellness Roundup advisory group consists of neighbors in SBR with a background in health care as well as interested volunteers. The group will start with monthly talks but will develop other avenues to provide information on the various dimensions of wellness.

The first talk sponsored by Wellness Roundup is on Tuesday, October 6, at 6:30 p.m. at La Hacienda Club in La Mesa room. Our first speaker will be Jae Dale, CEO of Oro Valley Hospital on Tangerine. He will talk about trends in the health care industry, this hospital’s commitment to excellent patient care and to answer your questions. Jae is an engaging speaker and is very interested in assisting SBR with our goals in developing our wellness program.
