In January of this year, my husband and I were ready to celebrate our second year at SaddleBrooke Ranch. We had purchased a resale, moved here in January 2019, and spent most of the first year remodeling, landscaping, and furnishing it. We became involved with many groups, clubs, sports, and made new friends with our many friendly neighbors. Our calendar was growing full with activities every day and several international trips planned. And then in March, everything came to a halt with COVID-19, so we adjusted to finding new ways to spend our time in meaningful ways and projects.
One of my first projects during this time of being at home was to create digital photo albums of the many trips we took from 2012 to 2019. I had hundreds of photos on my computer and a large plastic container full of information on these trips. I had not made digital photo albums in nine years, and I had to first refamiliarize myself with the iMac Photos software, which had changed from iPhoto, and the new providers that had partnered with Apple to make the books. I decided to use Mimeo and Motif, and found Motif to be my preferred application.
My photo books are not the most sophisticated and fancy, but they were easy to make and give us a wonderful record of our adventures.
