Voices in the Oaks Chorale is accepting new singers for the Fall 2021 concert season. All voice parts are welcome. If you like to sing with others, come join the Chorale. No experience is necessary.
Sponsored by the Oracle Piano Society, the Voices in the Oaks Chorale is a community chorus made up of singers from Oracle, and the surrounding area. There is no audition, and while the ability to read music is helpful, it is not a requirement to be a member of the chorus.
Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening, beginning Sept. 9, 6 to 8 p.m. The fall concert will be presented on Saturday, Nov. 20, at 4 p.m. All rehearsals and concerts are held at the Oracle Center for the Arts, 700 E. Kingston St. in Oracle.
The Chorale’s new director, Mirae Lee, is a third-year doctor of musical arts student, studying choral conducting with Dr. Elizabeth Schauer at the University of Arizona. She is a graduate assistant for the University of Arizona Community Chorus and she has a long list of choral conducting experience for university, church, and secular groups.
A Singers’ Social will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. at the Oracle Center for the Arts. Voices in the Oaks will answer any of your questions and singers can sign up to sing for the fall season. Light refreshments will be served.
The Chorale will follow these protocols to minimize the risk of COVID transmission:
All singers will be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
All singers will wear a mask during rehearsals.
Rehearsals will incorporate safe distancing measures.
