Each day, more than 6,000 children die due to hunger. Hope starts with food and you! Oro Valley Church of the Nazarene (OVCN) with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) are packing one million meals Feb. 7 through 12—with your help. Rally your friends, coworkers, and clubs to be difference makers! There are 20 sessions to choose from and each is just two hours long. Get more information and get signed up at ovcn.church.
Our mission is to raise the funds and pack 1 million meals with the aid of volunteers during a six-day time period through a MobilePack! Prior to the onset of COVID-19, OVCN was able to pack more than 1 million meals in 2020. A number of residents at both the Ranch and SaddleBrooke have participated in previous MobilePack events and also attend OVCN.
The need is greater now than ever, without the aid of vaccines and medical technology, the COVID pandemic continues to ravage much of the developing world. Starvation has doubled as millions of families that were nutritionally secure now find themselves in dire situations. The mission of FMSC is to not only feed those in need but to provide a pathway for sustainability, bringing families back to being self-sufficient.
