Putting time on the SBR green was pushed back one hour beginning in November. Ranchette Putters welcomed this change, hoping that the sun would help take the chill out of the morning air. Club members, however, putted through variable conditions, often wearing several layers of clothing.
The club awards monthly prizes to putters with the first-, second-, and third-lowest gross average scores and ladies who score six or more holes-in-one. The use of a handicap system also allows the club to recognize putters with the first-, second-, and third-lowest net average scores.
Ranchette Putters congratulates our November winners. Diane Seyl had the third-lowest gross average of 37.250. Sue Marx captured second place with a gross average of 36.500. A three-way tie for first place honors went to Doris Carlin, Corky Mansmith, and Barbara Saffran, with stellar gross averages of 36.000.
Boisterous celebrations accompany every hole-in-one on the green. In November, the following putters were applauded more than six times: Jackie Boll (10); Corky Mansmith (9); Trish Minard (8); Dianne Bradley and Evie Thompson (7); and Tish Atchley, Doris Carlin, Lori Eby, Loretta Gresham, Sue Marx, Linda Nicholson, Barbara Saffran, and Anne Terrell (6).
Ranchette Putters also congratulates our November net winners: Trish Minard with a net average of 35.850, Susan Eggleston with a net average of 34.567, and Lori Eby with a net average of 33.800.
