Allergic inflammation, known as allergic rhinitis, has been found to have a connection to the lower airway, known as allergic bronchitis, or asthma. Both conditions have similar immunological mechanisms and underlying pathogenesis.
You are invited to attend the SBR Wellness Roundup on Friday, Sept. 22, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in La Mesa/Montana rooms located in La Hacienda Club.
Wellness Roundup has resumed with our first talk by David Friedman, MD, an allergy and immunology specialist with Allergy Partners in the Oro Valley and Tucson areas. He has more than 17 years of experience in the medical field.
Dr. Friedman thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to practice allergy in the Tucson Sonoran Desert. He is very familiar with the desert flora and local allergic landscape, as he spent the majority of his childhood in Arizona. He received his allergy fellowship training from Vanderbilt University after completing an internal medicine residency at St. Joe’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and allergy. Prior to this training, Dr. Friedman received his medical degree from Creighton University. Dr. Friedman provides a proactive and comprehensive approach to treating allergic disease in order to achieve the best possible medical outcomes.
You will find his talk helpful in living with allergies in the Arizona desert. At the end of his talk, he will also spend time answering your questions.
