Create a beautiful watercolor of your favorite fluffy friend! In this two-day course (over two weeks) given by instructor Rachel Linnemeier, you will learn how to transfer your reference photo to paper, find bright colors within your image, slowly build your image from light to dark, and create volume and depth in fur.
The workshop will be held June 23 and June 30, from 1 to 4 p.m. Email or text a photo of your pet to Rachel ([email protected] or 260-223-3331) at least one week before class begins (by June 16). She will create a simplified line drawing to help you get started on your painting. Try to have a close–up, detailed photo of your pet. Tip: Record a video of your pet. Pause the video and take a screenshot of the exact pose you like.
The cost is $65 for SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Painters Club members and $70 for nonmembers. Payment is due seven days before the workshop and can be made with a check made out to SBR Painters Club and left in the SBR Painters Club lock box outside the Art Room. To register, go to GroupWorks, SBR Painters Club, Events, open the event, and click on “I’m Going.” Membership in the SBR Painters Club is not required for registration. A supply list is included in the event description. Registration is limited to 12 participants, so sign up early to reserve your place!
