Bill and Bobbie Trenckmann are missionaries who moved to SaddleBrooke from Idaho in September of 2023. Bill had been a youth pastor and has been married to Bobbie for 54 years. He is active in the Community Church at SaddleBrooke (CCSB) choir and a CCSB Men’s Empowerment Group. Bobbie helps the CCSB Women’s Ministry with their Bible studies and retreats. They currently attend Community Church at SaddleBrooke and help with the youth ministry at the Alive Church on La Cholla.
Having served as missionaries both in Rwanda from 2006-2010 and later in Romania, they were asked to return to Rwanda in 2024. Brian, one of the students they had mentored then, asked them to come to train, teach, and mentor youth ministry leaders. This past summer they led classes on ministry philosophy and strategy, and discussion-based Bible studies on Biblical Identity. To counter the shame-based Rwandan culture Bill and Bobbie emphasized God’s great love for His creation.
Community Church in SaddleBrooke came alongside Bill and Bobbie as they made plans to return. CCSB and some outside sources helped supply $8,600, which covered the majority of their trip expenses. Bobbie shared, “We’re so grateful for all the interest and encouragement, the prayers and gifts from CCSB. It has been amazing.”
Bill and Bobbie returned to Arizona from Rwanda in August of 2024. They are partnering with CCSB again as they are planning to return to Rwanda in 2025. While there, they will continue the much-needed work they started.
Join Bill and Bobbie with people from SaddleBrooke, SaddleBrooke Ranch, Eagle Crest, and surrounding communities each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. in the DesertView Theatre. You’ll enjoy a Bible-based message, great worship and a friendly and caring church.
