A total of 91 members teed it up for the two–day SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Men’s Golf Association (MGA) Founders Cup competition, which was held on Wednesday, Nov. 6 and Thursday, Nov. 7.
Both days started off on the chilly side but ended with glorious weather that was ideal for golf. There was, however, only one player who was able to shoot under net par for both days. Of course, that was the winning formula. A special congrats to our 2024 Founders Cup Champion, Bill Penaluna!
Bill went 69-68 to finish with a sizzling 137 and a 5 stroke victory over 2nd place finisher Mick Borm. Mick played terrific, steady golf and shot 70-72. His 142 was good for second place one stroke ahead of Bill Hawk, who finished strong with a 69. If you shot even par like Neil Hartman (72-72), you finished alone in fourth place.
