Kevin McCarthy, a six-year resident of SaddleBrooke Ranch, is running for re-election to the Trico Board of Directors. Prior to retiring, McCarthy held positions in domestic and international sales with Electronic Data Systems, Philips Electronics, and Ernst & Young.
Over the past three years of his first term, McCarthy advocated for SaddleBrooke Ranch through the construction of the Chirreon and Solar Farms, the implementation of the first off-hour rates (aka Time of Use rates) in Trico history, and improvement of the Trico technical infrastructure to reduce outage times and automate outage notifications.
His vision is for Trico to provide more rate plans with flexible pricing, keep rates reasonable in the face of energy and equipment price increases, and to further increase the focus on renewable sources of energy. These are key to managing the supply and price of electricity now and in the future.
Online voting runs from Feb. 10 through April 5. Cast your ballot online at trico.coop. You need only provide your Trico account number (found at the top of your monthly Trico invoice) and ZIP code.
