Each month, we hold informational presentations for new residents on living at SaddleBrooke Ranch. On Jan. 22, new and soon-to-be residents attended the Newcomers Welcome Gathering. Please welcome them. Photos were taken by Glenna Matthews.
No photo—Pat Pitula moved into her new home in Unit 14 on Slate Road in October 2024 from Atlanta, Ga. Pat also lived in Chicago, Ill. She enjoys cooking, design, and photography. The quiet, peace, and closeness to nature is a plus in moving to the Ranch.

Roy and Bobbi Moore moved from Colorado into their new home on Arroyo Vista, Unit 1, in early December 2024. They have also lived in Wyoming, Idaho, and Phoenix. Warmer weather was the focus of their move. They enjoy riding horses, riding bicycles, doing glasswork, beading art, woodworking, and the writing club along with the friendly people at the Ranch.

Jill Tieman and Randy Strauss recently moved to Copper Basin Was in Unit 19 from New York. They love the amenities of SBR and the climate of the area. They love the outdoors, hiking, bicycling, and the arts.

Jed and Libby Tallman moved from Evergreen, Colo., to their new home on Amur Lane in Unit 7. The friendly people, amenities, and sunshine were the draw to our community. They have two dogs, Ellie and Opie. They enjoy golf, gardening, traveling, and time with friends and family.

Doug and Linda Janacheck closed on their home in Unit 19, Copper Canyon Basin in February 2025 from Port Gamble, Wash., with their pet. They have also lived in Indio, Calif. They were sold on the Ranch due to the high desert climate, clean air, the activities and amenities of the Ranch. They enjoy the arts, hiking, fishing, and birding.

Ann and Chuck Moore (Chuck not in attendance) closed on their new home in November 2024, located in Unit 19, on Cypress Canyon Drive from Show Low, Ariz. They have also lived in Conroe and Beaumont, Texas; Littleton, Colo; and Montesano, Wash. The amenities and weather (no snow) brought them to the Ranch. Chuck enjoys hiking, fishing, and motorcycle riding. Ann enjoys glass working, reading, and gardening.

Nancy and Jack Malo moved to the Ranch in mid-January 2025 from Siesta Key, Fla., to Egret Trail in Unit 4B. They live in Bozeman, Mont., in the summer. The location, activities, and hobbies they can enjoy brought them to the Ranch.

Bill and Heidi Johnston moved to Desert Pupfish Drive in January 2025 in Unit 3. Pickleball and other amenities are what they enjoy about the Ranch.

Kamala Rose-Holliday and Mike Holliday closed on their new home on Cypress Canyon Drive in Unit 19 from Snoqualmie, Wash. They have also lived in Vancouver, Canada, and Santa Cruz, Calif.They love the community and the people.

Marci Kraft-Orloff and Hill Orloff (Hill not in attendance) closed in October 2023 on their home on Marble in Unit 21B. They are snowbirds, still living in Evanston, Ill. They love the activities and weather at the Ranch. Activities they enjoy are working out at the gym, the pool, mahjong, book clubs, pickleball, and traveling.

Alan and Cassie Rocke closed on their new home in Unit 17 on Quartzite Road in January, moving in March 2025, from Colorado. Our weather and amenities sold them on the move to the Ranch. Al and Cassie enjoy big game hunting, golf, and RV camping while Cassie also enjoys gardening and other sports.

Patti and John Cipro closed on their new home on Arroyo Grande Drive in mid-December 2024, from PebbleCreek, Ariz. They also lived in Massachusetts and California. They enjoy their new home and the weather making their love for golf more enjoyable.

Nancy and Scott Johnson closed in December 2024 from Belle Plaine, Minn. Sand Hurst Lane in Unit 21A is their home at the Ranch with their pet. They have also lived in Eau Claire and Green Bay, Wis. The draw to move to the Ranch was friends living here as well as all the community events and amenities. They enjoy reading, walking, and hiking (10k steps a day) along with golf.

Marcee and David Kain come from Apple Valley, Minn. They live on Sand Hurst Lane in Unit 21A. They are snowbirds, so they will be back and forth during the year.
