The Renegades 65+ team

The SaddleBrooke Ranch Renegades are the brainchild of Marlon Gorden. The group consists of two pickleball teams, 3.0 Men 50+ and 3.0 Men 65+. Most members played on both teams. The 50+ team, captained by Marlon Gorden and led by star player Lee Brown, finished with a southern region record of 6 wins and 3 losses. The 65+ team was captained by Bob Henry and featured the dynamic duo of Don Starner and Gregg Geser, who went undefeated during the State Championship. The Renegades 65+ won the southern region with a 9 win and 1 loss record and went on to win the State Tournament by beating a previously undefeated Phoenix area team. John Hess was our formal instructor leading the way with structured drills during practices that began last May. The group are all SaddleBrooke Ranch residents and members of our club. Team members include: Bruce Fink, Mike Flanagan, Gregg Geser, Ed Gitelson, Bob Henry, John Hess, Phil Mullins, Gary Nix, Don Starner, and Jeff Wise.
