Mark your calendars for Voices in the Oaks (VIO) fall concert in the Sol Ballroom on Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. and our holiday concert on Dec. 14 at 3 p.m. We will also perform at Vista UMC on Nov. 2. With our rehearsal season only a few weeks away, Voices in the Oaks is excited to welcome our new Artistic Director, Omaris Torres-Frey. Mrs. Torres-Frey is a University of Arizona Doctor of Musical Arts student and has extensive experience directing highly acclaimed high school choirs and teaching orchestra, guitar, and other music courses. Voices in the Oaks will now be rehearsing every Thursday evening starting on Aug 21 from 6 to 8:15 p.m. at Vista de la Montana United Methodist Church in Catalina. You don’t need to audition to join the VIO chorale, so come on out and give us a try! During the first couple weeks of our season, we will hold auditions for the separate Chamber Voices, a 10 to 12 person group that will focus on choral music appropriate for small groups.
