Western Dancers—Come on Down!

Janelle Authur

Looking for an opportunity to do a little honky tonkin’ without leaving the Ranch? Bring your partner, come on down, and join the SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Social Dance Club’s Western dancers as we gear up for another fall of live Country music and dancing.

On Friday, Sept. 5, the club welcomes the ever-popular band, Wild Ride, as we celebrate four years of monthly Western dances. And, we’ll be dancing BIGGER on the newly expanded Sol Ballroom dance floor.

The club’s monthly dances feature popular and well-respected Tucson-area bands, with each band bringing its own brand of Country music to the Sol Ballroom stage. We dance a variety of Western dancesthe Two Step, waltz, cha cha, swing, Partner Pattern, and a few Western line dances. We sprinkle in a lesson or two as we dance the Barn Dance and end the evening dancing to our tribute song, I Love You Arizona.

All levels of dancers are welcome. Don’t know how to Western dance? No problem. Beginning Arizona Two Step and Beginning Western Waltz lessons start on Tuesday, Sept. 9, for six consecutive Tuesdays. Two left feet? Just come and listen to great Country music.

Patrick Rayl and the .357 Band returns to the Ballroom stage on Oct. 10, followed by Mamma Coal and Band on Nov. 7. Clear Country will wrap up the year on Dec. 5.

For more information on the dances and/or lessons, go to the club’s website at sbrsbdc.com. You may also register and pay on this website.

See you on the dance floor!
