Kathryn Adis and Linda Harvey
AWI (Aging with Intention) is bringing SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) residents together for learning, connection, growth, and honest conversation about aging and end-of-life matters by providing resources and outside speakers on the topics.
This is a grassroots endeavor started by a small group of residents. After several gatherings, it became apparent that the desire for learning and sharing is community-wide. AWI is not a support group, but a discussion group for respectfully sharing knowledge and experiences on these topics. AWI is an outgrowth of the community spirit that already exists here in SBR, and is not a source or replacement for medical or legal advice.
Men and women of all ages are welcome to join this conversation to benefit oneself or a loved one. Attendance does not require anyone to speak or share.
Meetings are scheduled on the second Sunday of every month from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the La Mesa Room (La Hacienda Club). The Nov. 9 discussion will be about hospice vs. palliative care.
Communication within the group is done through TeamReach. For more information, send an email to: Linda_Harvey@hotmail.com.
