SBR Men’s Golf Association 2025 Member-Guest Invitational

The 2025 SaddleBrooke Ranch (SBR) Men’s Golf Association (MGA) Member-Guest Invitational (MGI) teed off on Oct. 16, with an impressive 65 teams competing in this two-day celebration of golf, camaraderie, and sportsmanship.

A Big Thank You to Our Team

Before diving into the tournament highlights, it’s important to recognize the many individuals who made this event such a tremendous success.

* Aaron Thomas, Golf Course Superintendent, and his crew delivered championship-level conditions. The fairways were pristine, the greens fast, true, and receptivethe course has truly never looked or played better.

* Dan Carter and a team of dedicated volunteers set up the always-enjoyable (and slightly diabolical) 7-hole putting course. A special thanks goes out to Susan Pharr and the Women’s Golf Association volunteers who managed scoring and pace so efficiently. Thank you, ladies!

* Chef Jeremy, Kelly, and the entire hospitality staff once again delivered outstanding mealshighlighted by another memorable welcome BBQ that kicked off the festivities in style.

* To the nearly 50 volunteers who made everything run so smoothlythank you! A special note of appreciation goes to Char Burrill, whose leadership and organization were key to the event’s success.

* Finally, sincere thanks to our golf professionals Mike Jahaske and Ken Steinke for their continued support of this prestigious tournament. We also appreciate Rod Linville for serving as tournament rules official, Ed Harrington and Rick Knapp for their tireless marshalling during a long round, and Greg Leben for two full days of the same.

Congratulations to Paul A. Berry and Paul J. Berry, who delivered a stellar performance to claim the title of 2025 SBR MGA Member-Guest Invitational Champions! Way to go, Pauls!

A special shoutout goes to Jarrod Thayer, who recorded a hole-in-one on hole number 14 during Day 1, earning himself a well-deserved $1,000 prize. This marks only the second ace in the four-year history of the event!

After the Day One Quota round, players enjoyed a hearty lunch before heading out for the highly anticipated Alternate Shot Horse Race. The competition was fierce, and the results were as follows:
