As we look back at 2025, the Tri-Community Food Bank (TCFB) Board of Directors would like to thank the many donors, volunteers, and organizations that have assisted the TCFB in meeting its mission, “Feeding Neighbors in SE Pinal County,” by serving residents who demonstrate need in the south eastern area of Pinal County in the communities of Oracle, San Manuel, Mammoth, Dudleyville, and Aravaipa.
During this year, the food bank provided emergency food boxes for 4,940 households and 15,361 individuals, an unduplicated count of 549 households with 1,620 individuals. Blankets for 320 households were distributed in November, and 233 Thanksgiving and 221 Christmas food baskets were handed out. The TCFB also referred 30 children from 13 families to Seniors for Kids, and 39 children from 19 families to Golder Ranch Fire Depart to receive Christmas presents. In addition, 68 children from 32 families received Christmas gifts from the TCFB gift shop who would not have received gifts through other community sponsors.
During the federal shutdown and the lapse of Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, the Tri-Community Food Bank provided additional emergency food boxes to 142 low-income clients who depend on SNAP benefits. To help the TCFB provide for the additional clients, many in the SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch communities stepped up and provided monetary and food donations, which was invaluable.
The TCFB also received many donations and assistance throughout the year. Following are examples:
Organizations Providing Food, Goods, and Monetary Donations: SaddleBrooke Community Outreach, Bashas’ grocery store, the Golden Goose, Dollar General, Long Reality-Golder Ranch, Santa Catalina Catholic Church, Mountain Shadow Presbyterian Church, SaddleBrooke Friday Quilters, and Seniors for Kids.
Volunteers: The Food Bank has 30+ volunteers who handed out emergency food boxes to clients, ordered and delivered food, and stock shelves, etc.; many residents from SaddleBrooke and SaddleBrooke Ranch assisted with the SaddleBrooke Community Outreach food drive; the Rotary Club of SaddleBrooke members gave generous donation of goods and labor; and SaddleBrooke Sunrise Rotary members unloaded and stocked deliveries from Bashas’ grocery store and United Food Bank monthly.
Events: SaddleBrooke Community Outreach Food Drive, Long Reality Golder-Ranch Shredding and Recycling Event, Epic Rides mountain bike event, and Seniors for Kids holiday gifts.
