Voices in the Oaks (VIO) Chorale kicked off 2026 with our first rehearsal on Jan. 15 at Vista UMC in Catalina and we have hit the ground running on our 10th anniversary “favorites” program. This special program celebrates 10 years of making music together by revisiting favorite songs from our past seasons like our Feelin’ Groovy, From the Heart, and Rhythm of Life concerts. We have three performances, so mark your calendars and join the celebration—April 11 at 5 p.m. in the Ranch House Ballroom, April 12 at 3 p.m. at Vista UMC, and May 3 at 3 p.m. at St. Mark’s UMC. Stay tuned for details via our newsletter, Facebook, and Nextdoor.
As part of our community support efforts, Voices in the Oaks cooked lunch for the annual Oracle Library Volunteer luncheon in January and our Chamber Voices provided entertainment. The Chamber Voices continue to develop their repertoire as a small ensemble performance group. This group could be available to perform a few songs at short events where entertainment is desired. To inquire about having the Chamber Voices sing at your next event, email us at admin@voicesintheoaks.org.
Our deepest appreciation to all our fans and our kind donors. A special thanks goes to supporters of our Student Conductor Fund that allows VIO to provide paid conducting positions to doctoral choral students. As we move into our second 10 years together, we know that we can’t do it without you and ask that you think of Voices in the Oaks when doing your financial planning. To donate or get information, visit our website: voicesintheoaks.org, call us: 520-276-9251, or email: admin@voicesintheoaks.org.
