David Schweikert, Candidate for Arizona Governor
David was first elected to public office as a member of the Arizona House of Representatives. After serving in the Arizona House, David returned to his career in business and was appointed Maricopa County Treasurer in 2005. He won election to the Treasurer’s office in 2006. In 2010, David defeated Democrat incumbent Congressman Harry Mitchell, to win a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. In Congress, David has developed a reputation for being an unwavering fiscal hawk. He helped write President Trump’s landmark Tax Cuts and Jobs Act in 2017. As one of the leading conservatives in Congress, David was also a co-founder of the House Freedom Caucus. Today, David serves as Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee and is a member of the Ways and Means committee where he continues his commitment to reduce the size, cost, and reach of the federal government. David grew up in Scottsdale, graduated from Saguaro High School, and received a MBA from Arizona State University. David and his wife Joyce have two children and live in Fountain Hills.
John Winchester, Candidate for AZ House Of Representatives (LD17)
John is currently running for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 17. His work has long focused on bringing people together to solve problems and strengthen Arizona communities. John serves as the Senior Director of Government & Community Engagement for Arizona State University, representing Southern Arizona across Pima, Cochise, and Santa Cruz Counties. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Chamber of Southern Arizona and participates in regional public policy councils and leadership initiatives. John has been recognized for his commitment to service and leadership, including being named a Flinn-Brown Fellow with the AZ Civic Leadership Academy, a Fellow of the Southern AZ Workforce Leadership Academy. He holds graduate degrees in public administration, nonprofit leadership, and leadership studies. John is a lifelong Tucsonan who lives in Southern Arizona with his wife Fernanda and their four children.
SBRC Mission Statement
The mission of the SaddleBrooke Ranch Conservatives (SBRC) shall be to educate and empower our members to act to further Conservative and Republican goals; provide a collegiate atmosphere for discussion; elect Republican/Conservative candidates; support the Republican Party; support the Constitution of the United States, and provide social functions and gatherings to promote membership morale, camaraderie, and communications.
