Tennis ladies sure know how to have fun! Thirty-five members of the SaddleBrooke Ranch Tennis Association (SBRTA) gathered for lunch at the Ranch House. The gals had an opportunity to meet players they don’t usually see on the courts. There were POP tennis players, beginner players, players with over 50 years of experience, players returning from injuries, and players returning after decades off. One thing they had in common was the desire to get acquainted, and those ladies could chat! It was wonderful to hear the excitement in their voices and to have the room filled with laughter. The event culminated with names being drawn for fun door prizes and the reoccurring theme that we need to do this again!
Yet another social event in February was the Meet & Mingle gathering, hosted at the home of Jim and Sue Cook, SBRTA Board President. This get-together provided an opportunity for the SBRTA Board and Committee Chairs to meet members, hear their thoughts and ideas, and answer questions. This was another great occasion to meet other POP and traditional tennis players and make social connections that can be transferred to the court.
Stay tuned for more details in the April Roundup about the fun-filled Battle for the Saddle tournament between SBRTA and our neighboring tennis club at SaddleBrooke.
