In late January, Unit 6 Cowboys and Cowgirls had their first Western Night in the La Mesa room. We dusted off our chaps and cowboy hats, polished up our belt buckles, put on our boots, and headed to the part, ya’ll. The grub was de-licious! All Ranch folk brought their best dishes includin’ ribs, smoked pork, cornbread, beans, slaws, salads, and desserts. After chow time a few brave folk got out on the makeshift dance floor and did the Electric Slide line dance and the Cotton Eye Joe. I’d say most dancers were pretty darn good! We all had a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
