That’s the theme of SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings’ (SBWS) concert on March 8. We’ll play dance music, and music about moving/ travelling, including “Simple Gifts: Four Shaker Songs” by Frank Ticheli and “Night Flight to Madrid,” by Kermit and Walter Leslie.
Started in 2013, SaddleBrooke Winds and Strings is a nonprofit, educational, community-based association comprised of musicians dedicated to the performance of concert band music. We come together on a regular basis to rehearse and perform for the benefit and education of the Southern Arizona community.
We are a no-audition ensemble and are especially looking for bassoon, trumpet, horn, euphonium, tuba, and percussion players, but welcome all musicians of intermediate level and above. We rehearse Friday mornings in SaddleBrooke and Catalina. For more information, contact us at: info@saddlebrookewindsandstrings.org.
